Cruising the canals of Manchester
Had a great time cruising the canals around Manchester and Salford, learnt so much about the history of the last 150 years. Everything from boarding the boat to disembarking approx 3 hrs later was really excellent. Food was very good, service excellent nothing was too much trouble. The running commentary pointing out landmarks was very professional. Highly recommended.

Pleasant and courteous
Just a note to say a big thank you for the lovely day out we have enjoyed today. Your staff looked after us wonderfully well and were kind and helpful. The food was lovely and even the sun shone in Manchester!! Cruise up the river
Went on the Emmeline Pankhurst, could not have chosen a better day the sun was shining, the barge was lovely and spacious, the staff were very friendly and attentive, the meal simple but good hearty food beef hotpot, with red cabbage apple pie custard was delicious, drinks were reasonable too, small commentary whilst cruising with some good local knowledge, had a fantastic time and good experience.

Fantastic Birthday Party
Booked the barge for my wife's 'big birthday'. From start to finish everyone involved with City Centre Cruises could not have been more helpful and the afternoon was perfect. We had 45 guests which I think is about the right number, the staff decorated the barge for us which was great and the buffet was exceptional. We were quite a diverse group of people but everybody said how much they enjoyed themselves. If you're looking to do something a bit different for a smallish group of people then this is just the perfect venue.

Great event
We hired the boat for a birthday party for 40 of us. The staff were great from booking initially and on the day. Nothing was too much trouble. They even organised a cake and decorations for us so we didn't have to worry about a thing. The buffet we had was absolutely delicious with plenty of everything. All fresh and so varied there was something for everyone. I will definitely recommend and will return to try a Sunday Lunch! Thanks so much :-)

Sunday Lunch Cruise
Attended the other Sunday for a Sunday Lunch cruise. All I can say it was amazing! Food-home cooked and delicious! The Barge-spacious and very comfortable! The Crew-attentive and very helpful! Try it you will love it. Thanks again!!!

Day out with friends
Went for a meal with friends and thoroughly enjoyed the entire day! The food was excellent! The staff were friendly, courteous and all too eager to help! I had a brilliant time and would definitely recommend it to anyone! I know that I'll go again!

Nothing was too much trouble
Had a fabulous day with my friends on the cruise along to Pomona Lock onto the Manchester Ship Canal. The captain was very informative and pleasant, the food was absolutely delicious and the staff were so helpful and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. One if the best Sundays I have spent in years.Thanks for a wonderful day.

Excellent birthday party cruise
Attended a birthday party on Emmeline Pankhurst and was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. The staff were very friendly and the food was absolutely amazing! My husband and I both had seconds as there were plenty for all the hungry guests. I definitely recommend City Centre Cruises for any social event and will be booking a Sunday lunch trip very soon.

Fantastic Birthday Party
Went to a party on the Emmeline Pankhurst on Saturday night and it was absolutely fantastic. The staff were very friendly and professional and the Chef presented a wonderful selection of excellent tasty food. A top night was had by all and I would definitely recommend City Centre Cruises for any event. Can't wait to return for a Sunday lunch with my family and friends.

Fantastic Experience All-round
Attended a 21st Birthday party on Emmeline Pankhurst on Saturday night and could not have had a better experience. The boat was beautifully decorated by the staff for the occasion and we thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us, there was a surprisingly wide range of drinks available, the journey itself was wonderful with some great sights to see along the way, and the birthday boy was able to prepare his own music playlist to be played on the boats sound-system. But the high-light of the evening was definitely the food. The boat's chef prepared a fabulous buffet including a range of hot dishes and salads; there was far more food than the 50 hungry guests could eat and the dishes were out of this world. I will be recommending City Centre Cruises to all of my friends and family. It was a fantastic night and it was nice to do something different rather than your standard function-room party.

Out of this world buffet
Booked a birthday party on Emmeline Pankhurst on Saturday night. Had a buffet that was out of this world, chef deserves a Michelin Star. All our family and friends were really, really impressed, said they'd never tasted food like it. The staff were amazing, they decorated the boat for us and we were able to take a play list that they plugged into an impressive speaker. Would definitely recommend City Centre Cruises for any event. Thank-you from the bottom of our hearts to the chef and all the staff for making it a night to remember. Best party ever.

Amazing night
I just want to say thank you to you and your team for such an amazing night on Friday!
My team loved it and the quotes I’ve heard today go along the lines of - ‘It was the best Christmas party we’ve ever had’ and ‘Can we hire the boat again?' Linzi looked after us so well and she has many fans here who loved her hospitality and her singing! I hope we all behaved ourselves (I did check with Linzi when I was leaving just in case anyone had been too rowdy!) and I’ll look forward to booking another boat again soon no doubt!

Great experience....again!
We used City Centre Cruises for the second time for a corporate function for our international guests. The staff were so professional, food lovely and no idea how they cook it all on the boat, cosy atmosphere and the boat looked lovely with all the Christmas decorations. Would definitely recommend for other companies to use to impress customers.

Sunday lunch cruise
Very relaxed cruise, crew excellent, captain - top man, one of our party was running late, nothing too much trouble. Interesting seeing all the buildings new and old, food really good traditional Sunday dinner, good stocked bar.

Friendly, Comfortable and Very Educational
This afternoon we travelled with City Centre Cruises on their short trip along the Bridgewater Canal to the Manchester Ship Canal and around the new Media City area. Our vessel, LS Lowry, had large windows to see the passing attractions, comfortable seats and linen clothed tables for our lunch. During the journey to Media City the running commentary by our Captain told us many fascinating details about the canals, the surrounding buildings and the industrial history of the area. Cabin crew happily served drinks and the included two course lunch, cottage pie with peas followed by syrup sponge pudding with custard - not haut cuisine but tasty and filling on a crisp Autumn day. The trip lasts about two and a quarter hours and runs throughout the year. In addition the company runs Sunday lunch cruises and match day trips to Old Trafford football ground. As they have been running such cruises for twenty five years we are only surprised that, as locals, we have never been on one before today. We certainly won't be waiting that long before our next.

Interesting two hour canal cruise from Manchester to Salford and back
A very enjoyable couple of hours spent cruising down the Bridgewater Canal and the Manchester Ship Canal from Castlefield, Manchester to Media City Salford and back. Our trip included a tasty traditional lunch (cottage pie and garden peas followed by sticky toffee pudding and custard) and an interesting commentary by the skipper.
Lots of information about the history of the canal and of Manchester. Recommended - especially for history buffs.

Very professional company - they even remind you of your booking a couple of days before you go! Food nice and hot and very tasty. Staff were all very friendly and the commentary was excellent. Really enjoyed the whole experience.

Loved it on 'The Lowry'
Bought a trip for two on the canal as a birthday present for a friend and we both loved it. The boat was called 'The Lowry' and has a sister ship 'The Emmeline Pankhurst'. Our boat was clean and comfortable, the staff were attentive and the commentary was well articulated and informative. We had a simple meal of cottage pie with surprisingly delicious sticky toffee pudding to follow. This was included in the price (a Groupon deal) but drinks were extra and competitively priced. The trip lasted two and a half hours passing from The Bridgewater Canal to the Manchester Ship Canal with stunning views of the Lowry Theatre and Media City. All in all it was a superb experience which I would thoroughly recommend.
